According to statistics, the domestic bauxite consumption in China totaled around 6.9 million tons in August, down by 3.0% compared to the previous month, also dropping by 17.6% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the consumption in Shanxi accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 2.9 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 11.0%.
In the first 8 months of this year, the domestic consumption of bauxite in China reached 61 million tons roughly, decreasing by 6.6% compared to the same period a year earlier.
