According to official statistics, Chinese aluminum production totaled around 2.88 million tons in October, sliding by 0.7% compared to 2.9 million tons in the previous month, also dropping by 1.8% from the same month a year ago.
The decrease in October aluminum production was mainly due to refinery shutdown, which affected aluminum output obviously.
In the first 10 months of this year, the production of Chinese aluminum amounted to approximately 29.2 million tons, hiking by 0.7% compared to the same period a year earlier, which might make the 2019 output reach a record high.
