According to the report, China's Sinohydro Group Ltd. planned to start a bauxite project in Ghana, which was scheduled to start in 2020.
Sinohydro Group cooperated with the government of Ghana to obtain the right to develop bauxite resources, and the firm will invest US$2 billion in infrastructure construction.
In addition, Ghana will build an aluminum smelter in the next three years and choose its own partners to jointly refine the bauxite.
It was estimated that this agreement will bridge the slow development of infrastructure in Ghana through a new investment model based on natural resources.
