China's alumina plants consumed a total of around 19.5 million tons of bauxite imports in the first quarter of this year, of which Henan province accounted for 4.8%, compared to 0.01% in the same period a year ago.
During this period, the alumina plants in Henan province had consumption of bauxite imports totaling around 940,000 tons, and the dependence was about 16%, compared to merely 0.2% in the first quarter a year earlier.
