According to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China, China’s primary aluminum production rose by 0.6% from last month to 2.9 million tons in November; however, the figure dropped by 3.2% from the same period last year.

The total aluminum production might reach around 35.9 million tons this year, dropping by 1.8% compared to the previous year.

The country’s aluminum consumption in 2019 was expected to be down by 1.2% from last year to 36.6 million tons roughly, and it could be only the first negative growth from those past 30 years, due to the slow demand from real estate, automobile and home appliance sectors.

The total aluminum output was around 32.1 million tons in the first 11 months of this year, which dropped by 0.6% year on year. Aluminum was the major output of top 10 non-ferrous metals for 60.3% of total.
