According to statistics, China’s imports of unwrought aluminum and products, including primary metal and unwrought, alloyed aluminum, amounted to around 175,300 tons in April this year, dropping by 11% compared to the previous month and also falling by 37.7% from the same month a year ago, due to higher overseas prices and weaker demand in the domestic market.

As the world’s largest aluminum producer and consumer, China’s aluminum imports have been less than 200,000 tons for four months in a row due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
