Due to the characteristics of aluminum itself, there were few correlations between prices of home aluminum and foreign aluminum in China.
The electrolytic aluminum plants in China continued their normal production during the Spring Festival, and the production of aluminum bars was not significantly affected by price drops. It was understood that the downstream aluminum industries and traders will start their works after February 9th.
With a large long-term supply of alumina and electrolytic aluminum, as well as little new supply in the first quarter, aluminum prices were not so optimistic if the domestic aluminum price dropped by more than RMB 1,300 and the medium-long term supply of aluminum was gradually released.
