According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, the country’s alumina production totaled around 7.4 million tons in October, growing by 5.4% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the period, China's aluminum alloy production was 1.41 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9%. Primary aluminum production totaled 3.7 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 1.6%.
In the first ten months of this year, China’s alumina output amounted to approximately 70.7 million tons, up by 2.9% year on year. Aluminum alloy production increased by 8.7% year on year to 13.22 million tons, and primary aluminum output hiked by 4.3% year on year to 36.4 million tons.
