According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, the country’s alumina production totaled around 7.21 million tons in July, growing by 4% compared to the same month a year ago.
During the period, China's aluminum alloy production was 1.38 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. Primary aluminum production totaled 3.68 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 6%.
In the first seven months of this year, China’s alumina output amounted to approximately 48.53 million tons, up by 2.2% year on year. Aluminum alloy production increased by 8.7% year on year to 9.22 million tons, and primary aluminum output hiked by 6% year on year to 25.2 million tons.
