Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council of China announced an adjustment of import and export tariffs on some products and an expansion of the number of tariff items starting from January 1, 2023, based on the needs for industrial development and technical advancement.
Among them, the export tariffs on some aluminum products were increased. The previous provisional duty rates of 0% and 15% on aluminum products under HS codes 76011010 and 76011090 were canceled and the export tariff rate was raised to 30%. The export duty rate on products under HS code 76012000 was 15%.
Besides, after the expansion, the total number of tariff items will be increased to 8,948.
