According to the announcement from Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco), Chalco decided to implement the flexible production to certain alumina production lines of Chalco Shanxi New Materials Co., Ltd. because the cost of bauxite in Shanxi kept rising and the market price of alumina continued declining.
The idle production capacity of was around 770,000 tons, accounting for 30% of Chalco’s annual production capacity.
