Britvic announced that in response to tackle climate change, the company has set new carbon emission reduction targets and planned to switch to aluminum cans to reduce carbon emissions.
The factory's carbon dioxide emissions were expected to be reduced by 50% by 2025. To achieve this goal, Britvic installed biomass boilers to drive production and replaced steel packaging materials with aluminum.
Britvic's goal was to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and the new target has been verified by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Britvic became the first soft drinks company to have an approved 1.5°C target in the UK.
