According to the report, Norsk Hydro said that the Brazilian Federal Court has lifted the embargo on its Alunorte's bauxite residue deposit area (DRS2).
Norsk Hydro's bauxite and alumina operations included one of the world's largest bauxite mines and one of the world's largest alumina refineries.
It was reported that due to the court’s embargo on Alunorte, the installation and commissioning activities of the DRS2 of Alunorte bauxite mine have been suspended in the last 19 months, and only half of the capacity of the bauxite was operational before the court has lifted the restrictions. And now, the Alunorte bauxite mine was finally fully operational.
