Ball Corporation, a provider of metal packaging in the US, will cooperate with Cervejaria Masterpiece, a Brazil-based microbrewery and an Industrial Users member of the Aluminium Stewardship Institute (ASI), to introduce the world's first beverage can with the ASI logo. The beverage can will hold the newly released Donatello Barley Wine.
With the ASI’s Responsible Aluminium Sourcing logo, consumers can know that the containers are made with responsibly sourced aluminum that meets ASI’s sustainability standards.
The launch of the first on-product logo on a beverage can means that the recognition and importance of responsible sourcing are growing in the industry.
