Australian Bauxite (ABx) Limited, one of the bauxite producers in Australia, said its scheduled bauxite output in Tasmania totaled around 45,000 tons in 2019, which was lower than 75,000 tons in 2018.
The bauxite reserves in Tasmania were around 12 million tons, mainly for cement production.
In addition, ABx also had bauxite mines in Queensland, and the reserves were approximately 37 million tons. The mine construction was expected to start in mid-2020.
