It was reported that the auto market in Western Europe was sluggish, affecting aluminum production. The aluminum output dropped by 4% or 36,000 tons in the first quarter of 2019 compared to the same period a year ago.
Total output from Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands and UK was at 877,000 tons, compared with 913,000 tons in January to March of last year.
