Aluminium Duffel, a European company producing semi-finished aluminum coils, sheets, and strips, has invested EUR26 million in the start-up of a new milling installation, which has a capacity of no less than 400,000 tons of aluminum per year.
The milling installation provides a cleaner surface on the top and bottom of aluminum rolling blocks by removing or milling one layer. Until now, most of the slabs are milled at the former sister company in Koblenz. Aluminium Duffel said that the high-tech nature of the installation will make the entire milling process more sustainable while achieving green environmental goals.
