Last week, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the leading industrial companies in the Middle East, confirmed that Regain (Australia) would be their technology partner for the development and construction of Spent Pot Lining (SPL) plant with US$44 million. Regain has very good business performance in the past 17 years and the total number for its treated spent pot lining was more than 370,000 tons.
With Regain’s SPL technology, Alba would yield more value-added products and eventually lead to SPL’s environmentally friendly, sustainable and economic development.
In 1971, Alba’s annual output of primary aluminum was 120,000 tons, and the number for 1992, 2005 and 2018 was 450,000 tons, 860,000 tons and 1,011,101 tons respectively.
