ALCORE Limited, wholly-owned subsidiary of Australian Bauxite Limited (ABx), recently announced their new development in the production of aluminum fluoride (AlF3).
ALCORE announced that they could produce small-scale of AlF3 at their research facilities, and it’s definitely a major milestone for them.
In addition, ABx noted that the production of AlF3 would also bring a by-product, a metallurgical coal substitute, Corethane.
However, there were also several more hurdles remained for ABx, for example, increasing the production scale of aluminum fluoride and improving the extraction rate of its by-products.
It could be expected that once ALCORE achieved stable and efficient production of the product, it would play a significant role in promoting the metallurgical industry.
