Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the largest single-site smelter in the world, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Daiki Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd., a Japanese leading aluminum producer, for their strategic partnership to build a sustainable aluminum dross processing business in Bahrain.

This cooperation strengthens the thriving economic partnership between Bahrain with Japan and is also helpful for innovative advances in sustainable aluminum production.

A joint venture will be formed with Alba’s industry-leading expertise and Daiki Aluminium’s cutting-edge technologies. The core of this collaboration is the circular economy principle.

The aluminum dross processing facility will use state-of-the-art technology to recycle valuable aluminum metal while significantly reducing waste, thereby contributing to Bahrain’s sustainable development goals.
