Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced last Wednesday (November 13th) it has signed a long-term sale agreement with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA).
Under the agreement, ADNOC will supply EGA with most of the calcined petroleum coke from its new carbon black and delayed coker (CBDC).
EGA used calcined petroleum coke during aluminum smelting. The new agreement permit EGA purchasing as high as 40% of calcined petroleum coke from the UAE, which could lower the costs in logistics, as well as the importing dependence.
