AA Metals, Inc., one of North America’s largest big aluminum and stainless steel distributors, has bought the former JW Aluminum plant in Williamsport. In addition, AA Metals has expanded its operations to Colombia, Turkey, and China.
Williamsport will begin its operation around the fourth quarter of this year, with the name “Chance Aluminum Corp." With this purchase of a new mill, AA metals will be able to increase its production capacity, expand market shares, and diversify its operations.
The company will be expected to create US$100 million in revenue in 2022 and also will provide more jobs, create more tax revenue, and have positive impacts on local communities.
