Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a premium aluminum producer based in the UAE and the largest aluminum producer in the Middle East, reported that its revenue was up by 36% year on year to AED 34.6 billion in 2022, the net profit grew by 34% year on year to AED 7.4 billion, and the adjusted EBITDA hiked by 37% year on year to AED 12.4 billion.
In 2022, the production of CelestiAL solar aluminum increased by 46% to 57,000 tons, that of hot metal was up by 6% to 2.65 million tons, and that of alumina grew by 5.7% to 2.43 million tons, all compared to 2021. EGA’s Al Taweelah alumina refinery met 47% of the company's internal needs in 2022.
Besides, the bauxite exports from EGA’s subsidiary Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) totaled 14 million wet tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%.
