Mundra Aluminium Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has been declared as the preferred bidder for the Kutrumali bauxite block by the Odisha government. The government issued a letter of intent on February 27.
The Kutrumali bauxite block is located in the Kalahandi and Rayagada districts of Odisha, with geological reserves of 128 million tons.
Mundra Aluminium is engaged in mining, refining, smelting, developing, producing and operating bauxite, alumina, and aluminum.
