WBMS: Global primary aluminum in short supply of 490,000 tons in H1 2019
According to the report released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), in the first half of this year, the global primary aluminum market was face a short supply of around 490,000 tons, compared to 710,000 tons in the previous year.

During the same period, the global demand for primary aluminum had a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, reaching around 3,100 tons.

The global production increased by 1.91% or 570,000 tons year on year during the period. Among them, the production from China accounted for around 57 of the total, amounting to 17.43 million tons roughly.
