Indonesia may ban bauxite exports from Jan 2022
2019/09/11
According to reports, the Indonesian Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said on Monday (September 9th) that President Joko Widodo has ordered to study the ban on other mineral exports, including bauxite.

It was believed that the Indonesian government was trying to push the domestic industries to enhance their ability of processing by banning the raw ore exports, further raising the value of the domestic metal.

It was understood that the control measure for bauxite exports will be implemented from January 2022, which will affect the global raw material market again.
