According to the latest report of GlobalData, a London-based data analytics and consulting company, the output of bauxite, the main raw material of aluminum production, reached 371 million tons in 2020, growing by 1.2% year on year, mainly due to the increase in the output from Guinea, the second-largest producer and the major exporter in the world, with an estimated increase of 25.1%.
GlobalData predicted that global bauxite production will hike to 406.7 million tons by 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.2% from 2021 to 2025.
